Piglet Save The Date Cards
Feb 7th, 2012 by admin

Image075 Just by way of a change, lets have a look at some piglets. They have nothing obvious to do with Save The Date Cards, but they do signify new beginnings. Only a couple of weeks old, but they’ve already learned how to snuffle about in the mud to root out food and when to run out of the way to avoid being trampled on by the fully grown pigs. They seem to enjoy muck and mud and squeal so loudly if they’re frightened. Comical little animals when they’re small, turning into quite powerful adults in a relatively short time. Variety, they say, is the spice of life, so a little diversion from the usual stories about www.savethedatecards.co.uk makes a chilli flavoured change.

Rose theme Save The Date Cards
Feb 4th, 2012 by admin

RoseThe classic rose is an enduring theme for Save The Date Cards. As a flower it is a pure form unequalled by any other, with so many colours and varieties. As a symbol or motif a rose is instantly recognisable as a representation of love and has been so through many ages. We use the image of a rose bud on our business card to indicate the concept of Save The Date Cards being the early stage of an evolving event, whether it is for a wedding, civil partnership, anniversary, party or other special event. Once the date is saved time can pass till the bloom unfurls in all it’s splendour.

www.savethedatecards.co.uk has many examples of enduring themes which are used for save the date cards.

The most popular, not surprisingly is a heart theme.

11 heartsHearts can be shown single, linked, entwined, solid or outlined. They can even be used as borders right round the edge of a card. Silver heats look really stunning as solid images.

We have been asked to use one off artwork on cards to provide  a unique and very personal card design.

Generally we have such a varied selection of designs you will find something which appeals to you.

If not, just ask and we’ll try to find an alternative theme for you.

Save The Date Card bling
Jan 24th, 2012 by admin

DSCF1250 For extra bling on your Save The Date Cards we can use a special holographic foil which gives an almost bejewelled effect to the print.

We produced a one off business card for a friend who has no computer and who wanted a design to reflect his business.

Speaks for itself this card!

If you like the shiny world of fashion why not ask us to produce your special Save The Date Card with added Bling.

The print process we use is similar in some ways to the latest nail art foiling process, but applied using heat and pressure to the high quality pvc card stock we use. Couldn’t really use the same process on your nails !!!

Save The Date Magnets
Dec 30th, 2011 by admin

Magcard_frontWe produce unique Save The Date Magnets by bonding a die cut flexible vinyl magnet to the back of our usual high quality plastic cards. This is the only way we have found to manufacture clear frosted fridge magnets of a quality which looks and feels right. By shaping the magnet as a heart or star shape it can add to the appearance of your cards. We chose to use vinyl magnets partly because they can be shaped and partly for safety reasons. We have produced cards using 10 mm rare earth magnets when customers have requested a card which will hold papers in place on a fridge, but have to send them with a warning to avoid placing the magnets close to watches or hard drives. We prefer the vinyl type as they are safer in use and have been designed to do their job, which is simply to hold the card itself to a vertical mild steel surface.

New year Save The Date Cards Sale
Dec 26th, 2011 by admin

047Frosted-Hand As we move towards the New Year it’s a time to reflect and take stock of everything.

2011 has been a strange year for businesses throughout the UK and indeed for most of the world. Everyone is being more careful with their finances and few are speculating or investing in ventures thay might have considered a few years before.

The same considerations are being made with marriages and special events, but it is worth considering the longer term. Our customers have shown different approaches, with some ordering fewer cards and some querying prices.

We have lowered our charges this year and have decided to offer a one off £5 discount for January 2012. Just mention January Sale when you email us and we will discount your quotation by that ammount.

Have a good New Year.

Simple high quality save the date cards
Dec 10th, 2011 by admin

014Frosted-Hand A simple high quality card can be the most effective for sending out your message to friends and family. Frosted cards give a little twist of the unusual, as they are not usually seen much outside business circles. The understated effect of a frosted clear card when it is printed with bright metallic silver, gold or holoprint is far more elegant than you might expect. Try to use as few words as possible on the card and it’s effect is both impressive and tantalizing. Just say enough to let your friends know what you are doing and when, but no more, that can follow when you send out invitations later. Think of it like a serial on TV, keep them waiting for the next episode.
