Save the date cards are such a personal way of announcing your message that designs and ideas are as different as night and day. Considering the small size of a card it is surprising how many variations on a theme can be achieved. There are people who like to use as many different symbols as can be fitted on and around a long and complex message, making a complex image which can take a while to fully register and understand. There are others who like one simple classic symbol, with minimum words, in some instances as little as names and a date. Card designs can be as varied as the people they are intended for.
Card design reviews are underway in the run up to the General Election. If the country needs to have a reality check on it’s political directions, then Save The Date Cards can do likewise. There are a number of images used as artwork presently which have not been popular compared with the regular selections chosen. We have decided to look at current trends worldwide, but focussed towards UK preferences. The hearts and butterflies need supplementing with trendier more modern alternatives. Bouquets and celebratory symbols abound, but choosing the correct ones takes some soul searching, no less onerous than when choosing which box to enter a cross in on polling day.

Our Save The Date Cards Blog exists as a section of our website, but has been used less than it could be of recent months, possibly due to writers block! [Or lazyitess, as it's sometimes known].
To have an unused blog is wrong. There are comments and quips which have a right to be shared and now is the time for us to invite our customers to leave their own comments about the cards we have produced for them.
We receive quite a number of complimentary emails, which really ought to be published for all prospective new customers to see.
A Blog entry gives the opportunity to leave as long or as short a comment that customers wish to submit. It allows anyone to share the experience they have had when their unique card was created and hand crafted for them by the Save The Date Cards team.
We aim to produce that special card you know you need and the experience of others would help to give a taste of what to expect.
There are many ways to send an invitation, from the simple hand written letter upwards. At www.savethedatecards.co.uk we like to provide the best cards we can for our discerning clientele. We appreciate our customers want the best and we endeavour to provide it. We spend time ensuring the layout and wording of a card is just right, making little adjustments here and there untill the design is just so. We then take care in printing the cards, each order having to pass our keen quality control before it can be despatched to the eagerly waiting recipient. We do like to provide a quality card with a good service. Our cards can be used for so many things, apart from Wedding save the date cards. We have produced cards for Birthdays, parties, Bah Mitzvahs and Silver or Golden Wedding celebrations. Whatever important event is coming up in your life, consider using our save the date cards to impress all who receive them.

Waiting for the print blocks to arrive is one of those times for reflection, the lull before the storm. After the flurry of emails associated with each order there comes an interlude of peace and calm where nothing should be too hurried. Graphic design and layout has been sent to the block maker and it then is up to him to create his part of the process. A small, lightweight metal block, etched precisely and carefully cut to allow precise printing of each individual card. Block making appears to be a black art, possibly magic, maybe more of a craft where the secrets are held close. The block maker just may be a wizard poker player. Whatever the methods used, a good block is necessary to produce a well printed card. We have tried a few and believe we now have the best block maker we can find for your own special Save The Date Cards.

Recession in Britain “At an end” is reported in today’s news. Now this sounds interesting. Time to blow the savings, book a luxury holiday and splash out on a new car. Maybe not quite so fast. Read on and discover a message of changing habits, thrift and careful money management. Go back to the ways of your grandparents, perhaps. This may not be such a bad thing. “Neither a borrower or a lender be” is a charming sentiment, but difficult to achieve in our modern age. One thing our grandparents did understand was the sense in buying quality goods. Cheap and cheerful is ok if you accept something may only just do its job, but often involves more effort. Our high quality Save The Date Cards will do their job. We know they are noticed and remembered from the feedback we receive, sometimes years later. If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well, so when you need to announce your event visit www.savethedatecards.co.uk
Save the date cards can be obtained in different materials, colours and designs. As the custom of sending out save the date cards is relatively new there is no hard and fast guidance or accepted protocol available. If you choose to send cards out they may be in any style or shape you feel suits or reflects your own style. Some will no doubt take to crafting their own cards, which can be fun and save some cash. Whether Blue Peter style cards create a good impression is debateable.
We feel that our range of card designs and colours gives a wide and varied base from which you can choose a starting point for your own personalised design. Once you have decided on a card colour and ink colour, next comes your careful text selection. Font style can complement your words and embellish flowery words or enhance a simply worded message.

There are some strange and disturbing stories in the news at the moment, but it’s heartening to see that generally people are still planning ahead and making their own mark despite the tales of doom and gloom. It’s no use listening to the war mongers, politicians and newshounds. Life must go on and preferably go on in style. Why put up with the tales of woe when you have a full life to live?
Go for it, have dreams and hopes for the future. Politicians come and go, but a couple can endure most things together. We are still seeing plenty of people planning ahead and expecting to announce their wedding with the style and grace we can assist with. Contact us at www.savethedatecards.co.uk and we will guide you towards an announcement which will give the right impact for your special occasion. Our cards are a little bit special and we hope they will only be the start of things to come.

It’s been in the papers, on the TV news and reported on Google news, so it must be right. Scientists tell us that just the thought of a nice cuppa tea can make us feel more cheerful.
That may well be, but an actual cuppa tea, in my honest opinion, makes me feel much more cheerful than just thinking about it.
OK, so there’s the ritual of filling the kettle, boiling the water, brewing the tea, pouring the tea, then finally drinking the tea.
A similar situation may well exist with Save The Date Cards, although it’s unlikely any scientist has studied the process.
There’s a good chance that thinking about your design makes you feel cheerful, placing your order for the cards makes you feel more cheerful, and receiving them through the post really gives your happiness levels a boost.
The best part though, is sending out your Save The Date Cards to friends and family and hearing all their comments and best wishes.
