Save The Date Magnets
Dec 30th, 2011 by admin

Magcard_frontWe produce unique Save The Date Magnets by bonding a die cut flexible vinyl magnet to the back of our usual high quality plastic cards. This is the only way we have found to manufacture clear frosted fridge magnets of a quality which looks and feels right. By shaping the magnet as a heart or star shape it can add to the appearance of your cards. We chose to use vinyl magnets partly because they can be shaped and partly for safety reasons. We have produced cards using 10 mm rare earth magnets when customers have requested a card which will hold papers in place on a fridge, but have to send them with a warning to avoid placing the magnets close to watches or hard drives. We prefer the vinyl type as they are safer in use and have been designed to do their job, which is simply to hold the card itself to a vertical mild steel surface.

New year Save The Date Cards Sale
Dec 26th, 2011 by admin

047Frosted-Hand As we move towards the New Year it’s a time to reflect and take stock of everything.

2011 has been a strange year for businesses throughout the UK and indeed for most of the world. Everyone is being more careful with their finances and few are speculating or investing in ventures thay might have considered a few years before.

The same considerations are being made with marriages and special events, but it is worth considering the longer term. Our customers have shown different approaches, with some ordering fewer cards and some querying prices.

We have lowered our charges this year and have decided to offer a one off £5 discount for January 2012. Just mention January Sale when you email us and we will discount your quotation by that ammount.

Have a good New Year.

Simple high quality save the date cards
Dec 10th, 2011 by admin

014Frosted-Hand A simple high quality card can be the most effective for sending out your message to friends and family. Frosted cards give a little twist of the unusual, as they are not usually seen much outside business circles. The understated effect of a frosted clear card when it is printed with bright metallic silver, gold or holoprint is far more elegant than you might expect. Try to use as few words as possible on the card and it’s effect is both impressive and tantalizing. Just say enough to let your friends know what you are doing and when, but no more, that can follow when you send out invitations later. Think of it like a serial on TV, keep them waiting for the next episode.

Its probably be worth agreeing what the cards will say first if you’re going to have the cards printed, but there is another option. Order and pay for your cards now, but don’t have them printed yet. On Christmas day hand your partner a copy of the email confirming your order has been made, then you can both sit down after the turkey and work out the design and wording you’d both like printing. It has to be better than playing board games or watching the repeats of old films on TV! In January we will then print and dispatch your cards ready for you to send out to your friends and relatives.

Bring a little brightness to winter

Winter save the date cards
Nov 29th, 2011 by admin

Winter save the date card in purpleSometimes we are asked for a non standard colour of text on our save the date cards. Usually we stick to just a few colours of foil, gold metallic, silver metallic, black, white and holoprint, but if someone has different themed colours we can sometimes accomodate their wishes. It can be a little awkward finding the colour of foil which looks right on different coloured cards, but we will always try our best. With Christmas fast approaching there are not that many days left to order cards, as they are not a simple digital print job. Each card has to be carefully hand printed, so if you need cards to go out this Xmas, order quickly and we’ll see if we can beat Santa.

The importance of proofs
Nov 18th, 2011 by admin

You send your details, we produce a proof. We email you a digital proof to indicate how your cards could look.

Over the moon, you pay for your order, then wonder why we slow the process down by asking you to approve your proof before we order a printing block. We need to do this, as only you know the exact spellings of names and the date you want to see printed. We sometimes wonder if 2013 is supposed to be 2012, but only you can confirm.

The other gremlin is the Spellcheck, which doesn’t always know write from wrong, or spot that “Wurst case scenario” may not be referring to an out of date german sausage.

It’s always advisable to double check details, then your Save The Date Cards will do their intended job.
