Tonight was printing time. Four neat orders, all different. The combinations of card colours and print colours make similar designs look so different. You can get a feel for this on our website, where example colours can be changed. Tonight we’ve printed twp frosted card orders, one in white ink and one in silver, followed by a black card with silver ink. The final print run was a white card with gold ink. I always feel white cards with gold ink look traditional, which some people want. The frosted cards with silver ink have a more contemporary look. Different choices for different peoples tastes. That’s what makes the world go round,; choices and preferences.
Seasonal differences show up with Save The Date Cards. Winter Weddings are often a snowflake theme, whereas Spring Weddings are often themed with flowers. Summer and Autumn are more of a mix, with palm trees, castles and symbols. Throughout the year though, the favourite image ordered on our cards is the inter linked hearts. Such a simple symbol, yet so powerful. As is often the case, less is more. What is encouraging is that despite newspapers, radio and television news repeatedly hyping up recession, couples all over the country still plan their weddings and choose items for it on more than just price alone. We have done our best to improve efficiency in producing our Save The Date Cards and rationalised prices to be as competitive as possible.
After a busy evening spent printing Save The Date Cards it still surprises me how different designs look when printed on different coloured cards using different coloured text. There are times you can put two similar cards next to each other and it takes a few moments to realize the graphics are similar. Black cards always look good with holographic text, where the dull satin black provides a rich backdrop to the rainbow shimmer of the words. The same design printed on a frosted card looks more contemporary, whereas a bright gold card has a richness which silver text complements perfectly.

Save The Date Cards for a winter wedding can be designed in various ways, but we have found our snowflake design remains a popular choice, especially when printed with holographic text on a satin black card. It has a simple geometric multiple snowflake image which is both pleasing to the eye and still demands attention. We often find Winter weddings are planned in spring time, for no particular reason that we are aware of. Have a look at the examples page at www.savethedatecards.co.uk and picture a card with your own details on, then request a free photorealistic proof.
Our Save The Date Cards are of a very high quality. Being plastic they make excellent fridge magnets and our magnets are interestingly shaped not just boring circles or squares. Most customers like the heart shaped magnet for Save The Date Cards, these are more romantic than stars or circles. For parties, Bar mitzah’s etc. customers sometimes like the star or round magnet. Our cards could be used if you are moving house. Just have your name and new address printed on a card and send to all your friends and relatives, much less writing to do.

Pancake day passed by yesterday with it’s usual bitter-sweet mix of batter lemon and sugar.
It’s a tradition we like to keep, possibly a hand me down from living off the land.
Pancakes can be a little treat as a fore-runner to the approaching springtime.
In much the same way, Save the date cards can be used as a taster of events in the future, a little soupcon of a couple’s Springtime together.
