There is a move towards losing the formality of traditional wedding invitations in some sectors of society these days. We have noticed a steady trend towards using Save The Date Cards more like an Invitation than a simple message to note when a Wedding will take place. There is much to applaud in society moving forward in this manner and we have suggested to a number of people that they can include far more legible text if they have both sides of their card printed. Whilst this does increase the cost of their Save The Date Card substantially, it also means they are able to use the card as a modern invitation, so saving the cost later. By printing a card with a simple message such as: Save The Date of 10-10-2010 for Jack and Jills Wedding on one side of the card, with suitable symbols reflecting the Wedding theme, the other side can be printed with details of the venue and request for a response. Times change and Wedding etiquette can be adapted to suit, if required.
