Proclaim a message with your save the date cards
Aug 11th, 2009 by admin

‘Twas brillig and the slivey toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe, all mimsey were the borogroves and the mome raths did outrabe. Ah, the wonderful words of Sir Edward Lear. Evocative, possibly troubled words, suggesting waking dreams. Scholars may pronounce meanings, but did the writer know what they were. The wonderful play for voices by Dylan Thomas, with Nogood Boyo, not bright, socially inept and showing inapproprite behaviour, Polly Garter and Butcher Beynon, Polly Garter and Mae-Rose Cottage. Wonderful characters you will recognise still today, brought to life by the power of words and the english language. Use words carefully and uniquely to make your own Save The Date Cards proclaim a message for all to remember. OK. it may not be a great poem or play for voices, but the words you choose for your cards can leave a lasting message if chosen carefully. Not too long and not too short. Think of the precise message and write it.

Then visit www.savethedatecatds.co.uk and we will print it for you.

Ideal way to promote your wedding is a save the date card
Aug 7th, 2009 by admin

Save The Date Cards are the ideal way to promote your wedding. It’s the most personal, emotionally charged, important event you are ever likely to arrange. Nowadays no wedding is properly arranged without it’s own website [ and possibly it's own blog ] to provide details of your special occasion to friends and family.

Every event needs advertising and sometimes simple advertising works best. Picture your card in frosted clear plastic with holoprint writing, something modern and impressive. After your future guests have had their attention grasped firmly by the first impression of your card, give them a simple but memorable message. Rather than trying to cram in every last little detail of where the Church is, followed by Reception at the Grand Venue Anytown, try a more simple approach. Picture in your minds eye that shimmering writing announcing “Janet and John, Save The Date 20-10-2010 www.janetandjohnswedding.co.uk.” That, coupled with a simple graphic of interlinked wedding rings should have everyone leaping to their computers to find out more.

A busy evening printing your save the date cards
Aug 5th, 2009 by admin

The Save The Date Cards printer had a busy evening carefully producing customers orders. Printing these cards is a strangely old fashioned process for such modern looking cards., more a traditional craft than might be expected. Each print run requires it’s own individual block to be mounted and aligned to the cards, then tested and adjusted till correct.  The desk top print machine itself appears to have been hewn from a single ingot of steel and is so heavy it takes two people to lift or move it. Each card requiring a change of print colour involves physically removing one foil from the machine, then lacing a new foil round the various rollers and drums to a take up spool behind. The number of different types of tape involved in the process includes heat sensitive tape for mounting the blocks and assorted tapes for minor, but necessary odd functions. It’s a far cry from using your computers ink jet printer, but we feel it’s worth the extra effort to produce such impressive cards.

Young couples making the bond
Aug 4th, 2009 by admin

It’s been sunny and warm in The Bubble today and every man and his dog have been enjoying the rural theme park which used to be known as the great british countryside. Serious hikers with nylon overshoes and walking poles to the casual weekend walkers in brightly coloured wellies. All shapes and sizes from all walks of life have been enjoying “their” countryside. The good weather must have had an effect as after about 4-00 pm we started to see numerous email requests for Save The Date Cards. The peaceful walks may have caused the final bonds to be made and young couples all over the country decided the time has come to enjoin and live as one. To say young couples may well be wrong, as any age couples make commitments to each other, their friends and families. Whatever the situation, see what we can offer as announcement cards . Visit www.savethedatecards.co.uk and we will do our best to produce a card which reflects your own message.

Holiday time – its quieter than usual in the save the date cards office
Aug 4th, 2009 by admin

It’s Saturday the first of August and we have noticed how many people have departed for their holidays. Everywhere you go it’s quieter. The roads are less congested in a morning, shops are quieter and takeaways are quicker. This is not a credit crunch effect, it’s the school holiday effect. As it is a little quieter we can respond to emails faster and arrange orders in record time.

Here at www.savethedatecards.co.uk there has been less activity than usual since the schools broke up for summer, but we are still finding plenty of people out there who are arranging their future in style.

We consider our save the date cards are still one of the best ways to announce your big event, whether it’s your future wedding, an engagement party, Civil Ceremony Celebrations, Birthday Party or indeed any event you want friends and family to attend. The advantage of our Save The Date Cards is that they can be printed to announce any event you want them to.

Matt white save the date cards
Aug 3rd, 2009 by admin

We’re about to start offering matt white save the date cards, in addition to our existing clear frosted, black satin, gold and silver ones. We have only ever had a few requests for white cards, but then as they are not currently shown on our website, perhaps that’s not too surprising.

We have noticed that some designs look exceptionally distinctive when printed on white using a holoprint foil, giving quite a traditional look, but with a contemporary twist. The white card may appeal more to couples celebrating silver weddings or christenings, but time will tell once they are launched.

Whichever colour combination of card and print foil is chosen, you can be assured that www.savethedatecards.co.uk will endeavour to produce that special card you want to announce your important occasion to your circle of friends and relatives.

We trust you will find our staff helpful and friendly whilst you are choosing your ideal cards.

save the date cards – check your spam
Jul 30th, 2009 by admin

At www.savethedatecards.co.uk we transact all our business over the internet, arranging orders by email and taking payments by Paypal or Google Checkout. If we were able, we’d post orders over the internet as well!

We have increasingly noticed customers are having security problems when using their work email addresses to arrange their orders, as so many firms now use tighter security measures. Usually these systems can be customized to allow addresses you trust and we would advise you to include our office email sales@savethedatecards.co.uk in your allowed list if you intend arranging an order from your work computer.

It’s all too easy to think you haven’t received a reply to your query, when in fact that reply has been sitting in a box marked Spam for several days. Now I quite like Spam, when it’s made into Spam Fritters, but email spam is no use to anyone. Save The Date Cards never send spam emails, so to enable our swift responses to reach you properley, add us to your list of allowed addresses.

Save the date cards – repeat orders
Jun 8th, 2009 by admin

Recently we have received a few repeat orders for save the date cards. One repeat order was today. I am not sure of the exact details, but one of our customers from a few weeks ago has requested some more save the date cards with a different wedding date on them (but same venue)

Maybe the venue was double booked on that date? Or maybe the customer decided to change the date for one that was better suited to fit in with other plans?
